This is a fast paced role in a state of the art glass manufacturing plant. It is hands on, people focused and full of opportunity for someone who wants to build a serious leadership career.
You may already have the title. You may not. What matters is that you are a leader at heart.
As our Afternoon Shift Production Supervisor, you will lead the team that keeps production moving.
You will be visible on the floor, coaching people, setting the pace, solving problems and making sure safety, quality and performance stay front and centre.
This is not a sit in the office and send emails kind of role. You will be in the action, leading people, making decisions and helping shape the culture of the shift.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supporting the afternoon shift production team
- Coaching, developing and getting the best out of your people
- Keeping production moving in a fast paced environment
- Setting clear expectations around safety, quality and performance
- Solving day to day people, workflow and operational issues
- Building a team culture where people take pride in what they do
- Working with other leaders across production, quality, maintenance and support teams
Desired skills and experience
You may already be a Production Supervisor, Team Leader or Leading Hand. Or you may be someone who is not a leader on paper yet, but behind the scenes, people already look to you.
Maybe you lead your local sports team. Maybe you are a leader in your community.
If you are a true leader at heart, someone who wants to grow people, lift standards and make those around you better, we can train the rest.
We are looking for someone who:
- Leads from the floor, not from the sidelines
- Builds trust, but still holds people accountable
- Communicates clearly and keeps calm when things get busy
- Has experience in manufacturing, production, logistics, warehousing, trades or another fast paced operational environment
- Cares about safety, quality and doing the job properly
- Enjoys coaching people and building a strong team
- Wants a role that will stretch them, grow them and help define their career
Previous manufacturing or supervisory experience would be valuable, but attitude, leadership instinct and follow through matter just as much.
