Customer Service,Sales

APL Group is the market leader of window and doors systems in New Zealand.  Recognised for our pioneering and innovative approach, we provide an end-to-end service for our customers in the New Zealand building industry.  We proudly put our people first and aim to create long term career prospects for every person in every team.

Job Description

Join APL – New Zealand’s Leading Window and Door Systems Manufacturer

We’re APL – proudly New Zealand-owned and operated, and the leading innovator in aluminium window and door systems. From design to delivery, we work across the building industry to make tomorrow’s buildings possible, today.

In this key role, you’ll act as a crucial link between our aluminium fabricators and the architectural sector, helping deliver high-profile projects across the North Island.

While technical knowledge is important, we’re not looking for CAD technicians, BIM modellers, or lecturers. What we’re after is experience in a marketing, client-facing, or technical sales role — someone who’s promoted or represented a technical product or service, especially within the construction or architectural space. You’ll be a natural relationship-builder who can translate technical information into real-world value for our partners.

What We Offer

  • A modern, family-oriented company culture

  • Long-term career development opportunities

  • Outstanding wellbeing support through our specialised Wellbeing Clinic

  • Southern Cross Health Insurance fully paid for employees

  • Employee discounts across multiple NZ businesses

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver CPD and informal presentations to architects, designers, and specifiers

  • Represent APL at industry events, conferences, and seminars (some travel and after-hours work required)

  • Act as the key liaison between architectural specifiers and APL technical teams

  • Support our manufacturer network by attending meetings and assisting in dispute resolutions when required

  • Maintain professional, solutions-focused relationships with all stakeholders

  • Work closely with our Technical Services and New Product Development teams

What You’ll Bring

  • Solid understanding of residential and commercial window and door systems

  • Familiarity with the NZ Building Code, especially around window positioning and external envelope design

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills

  • Experience working with architects, builders, or within the construction industry (preferred but not essential)

  • Confidence in presenting and representing a brand professionally

This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking, values-driven team delivering innovative building solutions nationwide. If you’re passionate about design, communication, and building great relationships — we’d love to hear from you.
