Job Description
As our Testing and Fabrication Technician, you will be responsible for:
Fabricating and installing joinery into our test booth(s)
Testing APL’s joinery systems in our state-of-the-art IANZ accredited laboratory to ensure our products meet strict standards for performance
Devising various tests to carry out research and development on new products
Supporting our vast fabricator network with on-site testing and technical advice
Supporting APL’s other business groups with various projects or joinery requirements
This role is highly varied, giving you the opportunity to be involved in the research and development of new windows and doors one day, the next, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to create unique solutions to real world problems. Working in a close-knit team, you will be focused and competent.

Adaptable and flexible
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in report writing is highly regarded
Experience in aluminium fabrication desirable
Strong practical mechanical background and experience desirable
