We’re on the lookout for experienced Class 5 Driver to join our team based at our APL Direct site in Wigram, Christchurch.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, physically demanding position suited to drivers who enjoy being active on the job. Alongside linehaul driving, you’ll be involved in freight handling, curtain sider work, and load securing, so a good level of fitness and a willingness to get stuck in are essential.
You’ll primarily be running our 5 axle truck and trailer unit ex Christchurch and delivering product to our network of fabricators throughout the lower South Island running twice weekly.
This role requires regular nights away from home 2-3 nights per week, this role is hands on and we need someone that wants to own the run and keep our key customers happy along the way.
Our Customers are the key to our success and we must never under estimate this. Teamwork is key—everyone pitches in to keep operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Bring
- Full, clean Class 5 licence
- Forklift Licence required
- Proven curtain sider experience
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting and manual handling
- Strong work ethic and reliability
