Job Description

Responsibilities - General

Do whatever it takes to delight the customer.

  • Ensure the Hardware Powder Coat team area is left in a tidy and clean fashion after each shift. All tools must be placed back in their designated location.
  • Keep the Tooling and Components Performance Leader informed on the day to day operations and problems encountered in the department.
  • It is a requirement of the position that, when required, you will be available to perform a “hands on” role within the team
  • To create and maintain great working relationships between APLM and the sister companies and suppliers that help us deliver outstanding service for customers.
  • Ability to commit APLM to a course of action in resolving problems: Within operational expenditure limits.
  • Keep informed and ensuring reliability and accuracy of information.
  • Meeting production deadlines
  • Ensure parts are manufactured to required quality standards and meet the specifications of the order placed by the customer.

 

Health and Safety

  • Be aware and conversant with and follow the APL Manufacturing health & safety rules.
  • Wear personal protective equipment when it is required.
  • Regularly monitor the workplace for hazards and take corrective action when hazards are detected.
  • Report all accidents/near misses immediately

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications and experience required

  • Strong organizational ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Powder Coating and the operation of an auto spray gun line.
  • Chemical handler
  • Ability to lead and effectively manage staff
  • Shares knowledge and contributes ideas with colleagues
  • Proactively looks for continual improvement
  • Ability to work independently
  • Some knowledge of the and building industry is of advantage
  • Ability to self-manage
  • An open mind and the ability to learn
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service and the promotion of the Company
  • Strong problem solving skills
