Job Description

About the Role

As the CPQ & Product Configuration Administrator, you will play a key role in ensuring our configurator remains accurate, reliable, and aligned with our products and manufacturing processes. The system supports both customer and internal orders providing critical information regarding product.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain product rules, options, constraints, and validation logic within the CPQ configurator.
  • Manage and maintain accurate product data, Bills of Materials (BOMs), costing information, labour times, and manufacturing outputs.
  • Test and validate configuration changes before release to ensure system accuracy and prevent downstream issues.
  • Investigate system and product-related issues, identify root causes, and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, customer service, technical, costing, and systems teams to ensure alignment and accuracy.
  • Maintain supporting documentation, process notes, user guides, reports, and analytical information.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives relating to product configuration, manufacturing data, and business systems.

  • Curious, practical, and eager to learn new products, systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong competency with data management, spreadsheets, and logical problem-solving.
  • Experience working with structured information and maintaining accuracy in detailed systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to analyse information and investigate issues methodically.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal stakeholders.
  • Work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

 

Desirable (but not Essential)

  • Experience with ERP systems, product configuration software, BOMs, master data, manufacturing systems, CAD, technical product documentation, costing, or joinery.
  • Experience with coding, scripting, rules-based logic, or configuration systems.
  • Experience testing system changes and validating outcomes.
  • Experience creating user documentation, reports, or data analysis.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, engineering, or technical product environments.
