Job Description
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you’ll own accurate financial reporting, strong cashflow management, and the disciplined day-to-day accounting that keeps the business running well. It’s a broad role that encompasses everything from accounts payable and receivable through to month-end close, fixed assets, budgeting, and NZ compliance.
You’ll be based at our Karewa Place (Te Rapa, Hamilton) site four days a week, with one day each week at the Profile Group office in Hautapu (Cambridge).
What you’ll be doing
Managing end-to-end accounts payable and receivable
Daily bank reconciliations and preparing payment runs
Preparing weekly and 13-week rolling cashflow forecasts
Delivering month-end close, including journals, accruals, and reconciliations
Preparing monthly management accounts and variance analysis
Maintaining fixed asset registers and depreciation
Preparing GST returns, FBT documentation, and other NZ statutory filings for review
Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and re-forecasts

Desired Skills and Experience
What you’ll bring
Solid month-end experience in a similar role
Experience with SAP or a comparable ERP, and strong Excel skills
Sound working knowledge of NZ GST
Confidence dealing with people at every level, from operational staff through to senior leadership
Strong organisational skills, high attention to detail, and a self-motivated approach to hitting deadlines
Ideally, you’ll hold a degree in accounting or finance and be CA/CPA qualified or working towards it. Previous experience in a manufacturing business is a real advantage.
