The role

We are looking for a People Business Partner to join our high energy, collaborative team. You will work directly along side OD, Events, Internal Comms, Recruitment, and like minded BP colleagues to provide all people solutions for the two businesses you will partner with. With our own Wellness Clinic, packed Events calendar, and endorsed strategic People Plan we are a team on a mission and need someone passionate about showing the ROI of HRM to join us.

This role is a truly trusted business partner, and will provide advisory and day to day support for the entire employee lifecycle at an operational level.  Sitting in our integrated People team which includes Wellbeing, H&S, Injury Prevention, recruitment, payroll, events and comms, the role is a critical role advocating for the businesses’ People needs, while also progressing the Group People strategic plan.

Accountabilities

  • Advising Senior Management on people matters, aligned with business priorities, strategic plans and policies.
  • Deliver operational outcomes in talent acquisition, engagement, talent management, and ER/performance.
  • Raising capability through coaching, mentoring and providing high quality and consistent advice in HRM best practice.
  • Analyse and interpret trends and insights from across the integrated function to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to your businesses.
  • Collaborating across the broader People function and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Problem solving complex people problems, and having opportunities to work on new People & Performance projects for the Group.

The ideal candidate would have the following:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as an HR generalist or Advisor with an understanding of Strategic HRM principles, best practices and employment legislation in New Zealand.
  • Strong understanding of HRIS processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and demonstrable experience with data driven HR metrics.
  • Proven experience in attraction, retention and ER practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
